ARMS control units

The Control Units (CU) are designed to automate the control of ARMS valves using the hardware of a process information network based on the
RS-485 interface. The BU4K CU ensure either an autonomous control using an integrated controller, switching and indicating elements or a remote control using the controller’s RS-485 interface.

The BU4K CU provides:

  • transmission of signals about controlled parameters and valves condition via RS-485 network for distance up to 1000 m at the rate of 9600 bd
  • data exchange between Control Units via  RS-485 network at the rate of 9600 bd
  • analysis of controlled parameters and valves condition

The CU are capable of controlling the electromagnetic valves, compressors (gas blowers), and electrically-operated valves.

The BSBU4K and BSBU4K01 power supply units can be used to extend the functional capabilities of the BU4K Control Units. The power supply units are intended for automation of sample transportation  to detection devices of ARMS measuring channels.

The BSBU4K power supply unit ensures control of six electrically operated shut-off valves and operates when paired with the BU4K01 control unit. The BSBU4K01 is used to control electrically operated shut-off valve and compressor, and operates when paired with the BU4K10 control unit.

The BSBU4K unit provides:

  • reception of 12 control signals from the control unit in the form of 24 V AC voltage;
  • generation of control signals for valve electric drive in the form of 380/220 V, 50 Hz three-phase voltage;
  • transmission of 20 signals about valve and voltage-check relay status to BU4K unit in the form of relay signals;
  • generation of signals about the correct voltage phase sequence of valve electric drives.

The BSBU4K01 unit provides:

  • reception of 3 control signals from BU4K in the form of 220 V, 50 Hz voltage;
  • generation of 2 control signals for valve electric drive in the form of 380/220 V, 50 Hz three-phase voltage (consumption current up to 0.63 A) and for valve electric drive in the form of 380/220 V, 50 Hz three-phase voltage (consumption current up to 32 A);
  • transmission of 4 signals about valve and compressor status to BU4K unit in the form of relay signals.
